Community Health Promotion Project

Teaching Strategy Description:

In groups of 5-7, students create a community health promotion project in partnership with a community benefit organization. The project focuses on vulnerable populations, such as children and the elderly. The project is created, implemented, and evaluated during the semester. The projects are presented in class and during a Health Fair at the end of the school year.

Teaching Context:

  • Project is completed during the last year of baccalaureate program, in a compulsory 4-credit clinical course.
